Elinore Bucholtz

Remember... The Red, White and Blue?, acrylic on canvas, 36" x 48"

Elinore Bucholtz's abstract art is loose and free flowing and has been described as "intuitive", "spontaneous", creating a sense of "limitless space", and having "light interact with matter in a way that breaks down the barriers between the physical and the ethereal."

Her art has a lyrical style with an innovative use of very informal strokes, incomplete forms, unusual arrangements, and "accidentals", gestures that seem to fall where they may, to create a more serendipitous experience for the viewer.

She recently showed at the Art Students League, NYC, where her painting won the First Place award. Her work has attracted numerous collectors on both the East and the West coasts of the U.S. as well as in England.

Melissa B. Tubbs
Mellisa B Tubbs

Park Avenue Ram, NYC, pen and ink, 11-1/4" x 8"

Melissa B. Tubbs has been creating finely detailed pen and ink drawings of architectural subjects for more than 15 years. She believes we should preserve and celebrate our built environment and the architects, artists and craftsmen who created them.

Her pen and ink drawings have a crispness and directness that is elegant and appealing. Form, line and light have more emphasis in black and white. She is interested in conveying the depth created by the contrast of bright light and cast shadows.

Melissa has three drawings selected for exhibition in the 72nd National Mid-year Exhibition at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio, July 13-August 24. Her work will be shown in the Florida State University Museum of Art invitational "The Fine Art of Drawing", August 25-September 28, in Tallahassee, Florida.
