About Renée Phillips
Since 1980 Renée Phillips, The Artrepreneur Coach, has counseled thousands of Artists from around the world in all career levels, styles and media in private sessions and group workshops.
She is a leading expert in her field and internationally recognized for six editions of her best selling book The Complete Guide to New York Art Galleries and her nationwide inspirational talks such as "How to Break Into New York Art Galleries."
As an Arts Advocate Renée
has served on many advisory boards including the Board of Directors of New York Artists Equity. She most recently served on the Advisory Board of the UNCF "The Art of Giving Back".
She is the founder / director of Manhattan Arts International and the creator of the Artrepreneur Success Program.
She is also the author of the Artist Success Package, and many other books, e-Books and e-Documents.
She is a proud member of the prestigious International Association of Art Critics and the American Society of Journalists and Authors.
Her articles have appeared in many publications nationwide and she is a regular writer for Professional Artist magazine and the Manhattan Arts International Reading Room. She has also authored numerous exhibition catalogues.
Renée has organized more than 50 multi media exhibitions throughout NYC and online including several "Celebrate The Healing Power of ART" exhibitions.
She maintains the Celebrate the Healing Power of ART blog, "To Promote ART and all aspects of CREATIVITY and its vital importance to healing individuals and the planet."
She
founded and operated Manhattan Arts International magazine from 1983 to 2000. Her mission was to promote emerging artists in all disciplines who were being ignored by the mainstream press. She also interviewed leaders in the world of art, politics and entertainment.
Renée organized the "Manhattan Arts Debate" (photo), the only political debate in NYC's history to concentrate solely on the arts. It was televised on ABC news and transmitted on WQXR radio owned by The New York Times.
She was founder/director of Artopia, an organization that served to champion emerging artists, exhibit their art work in multi-media events, and foster relationships between artists and art enthusiasts.
For her contributions to the Arts she has been awarded citations from two NYC mayors. She was featured in New York Newsday as a "Community Leader." Articles about her have appeared in The New York Times, Crain's New York Business, and Our Town.
During her career she has had the pleasure of interviewing and working with many leaders from art, entertainment and politics including Leo Castelli, Jay Leno, Ivanna Trump, Mark Kostabi, and many others.
