How Coaching Works

The Coaching Steps
1. You arrange a series of 45 minute phone sessions with me each week.
2. As soon as you sign up officially with me as your coach you will receive a Questionnaire and Assignments. This provides a strong foundation from which we can formulate successful steps to build your future.
During the first session we discuss your questionnaire/assignment and I will provide immediate feedback on how to improve your promotional materials (website, artist's statement and biography, plus), and career strategies. We develop a plan of action.
3. During each weekly coaching phone session you will receive customized assignments, strategies to apply and answers to your art career questions.
4. During the sessions I will remind you to keep on track and focused.

How to Arrange A Consultation
Send me an email renee@renee-phillips.com and in about 50 words or less tell me what you need help with. Supply a link to your website. You will receive a reply from me within a couple of business days. Please do not send me long emails or attachments at this time or it will take me too long to reply to you.

You may know me as the creator of 6 editions of a best selling book The Complete Guide to New York Art Galleries and my nationwide talks such as "How to Break Into New York Art Galleries." I also wrote two more books: Presentation Power Tools for Fine Artists and Success NOW! For Artists: A Motivational Guide for The Artrepreneur that are still in popular demand. I am also the creator of the Artist Success Package -- more than 300 pages of vital information for artists of all career levels.
As an Arts Advocate I organized the first and only Arts Debate in the history of NYC with art and political leaders that received widespread TV and Radio coverage. I have served on the Board of New York Artists Equity and several other arts organizations. I served on the Advisory Board of the UNCF "The Art of Giving Back" and a NYC mayor's Excellence in the Arts panel.
I have curated and organized more than 50 art exhibitions in corporations, galleries and alternative art venues throughout the City. I continue to serve as a juror and curator of art exhibitions, most notably several annual “Celebrate the Healing Power of Art”.
From 1983-2000 I was the founder/Editor-in-Chief of Manhattan Art International magazine which I launched in order to discover and showcase emerging art talent.
In 2000 I saw the potential of the Internet and as a pioneer I established the Manhattan Arts International website - "A Network of Artrepreneurs". In 2009 I founded a group on LinkedIn which now has close to 1,200 members.
