Impressionistic and Atmospheric

Her compositions combine restful areas with animated energetic fields. With an expert and confident handling of palette knife she retains the depth of the pigments with alluring spontaneity and rich texture.

The artist’s style demonstrates an affinity with the atmospheric light-filled qualities of Claude Monet’s late Impressionistic paintings. We also see influences of the robust gestural expressions of  Wassily Kandinsky and the  ethereal mystique of Mark Rothko’s Color Field painting.

A Celebration of Beauty

Gautier poses the question:  “Is there a better way than art to bring people from all over the world together in a celebration of beauty?” She also shares her belief: “Painting is the way I reach out to people.”

She explains, “My quest is not to create the illusion of reality but to suggest with colors and composition the inherent nature of the aesthetic object.”
